About The *new* Devour Ability

<div class="IPBDescription">read on.......</div> well, as you all know, in 1.1 the onos will have this new ability called "devour".. based from what i read, it can hold the marine for at least 30 seconds, since if you are not dead, you can not respawn.. but what if the marine just types "kill" in console when he is being digested?

    They probably die already but cannot spawn for 30 seconds, or something along those lines.

    /kill wil probably disabled when your in the onos.

    The best idea I heard was to make the marine's state change to "dgst" or "eat" (something like that) in the same way as you can be REIN or DEAD. /kill is turned off in those states so turning it off when you're "DGST" should be easy.

    I really don't understand what the problem is. If he types kill, devour becomes an instagib weapon, basically. It's still a great attack.

    yes but typing kill wouldnt take the marine out of the game for 30 seconds, unless they can somehow code it to stop the status going from DEAD to REIN, which would probably be harder than having a DGST status. Also, if the marine killed him/herself the onos could devour someone else without having to wait to digest the first
