<div class="IPBDescription">and also maps about 1.1?</div> guys, there are a few maps that are common in other servers, but i do not have yet, and it takes me so long to d/l them from the server, is there any website that i can download all the maps?
and while were talking about maps.. will there be any additional maps in 1.1? (and is 1.1 only for server-side or does everyone have to d/l?)

use the search function for "mappack" on this forum (and the mapping section) too.
most oficial maks will become much improvements in their 1.1 version, especially eclipse and nothing.
yes, 1.1 will be client side so everyone has to download it
btw unfortunately www.mayberrygames.com keeps going down coz of the traffic they say. they should get a new server i think.
i hope the reworked maps won't be crapified by having entities removed so that they run on weak servers.

Incorrect.
Downloading content from the server is capped at the same speed as downloading client-server sync data. If downloading content actually bogs up the bandwidth, then the admin has configured the settings incorrectly and as such needs to lower the max players or the bandwidth alloted to each player slot. The bandwidth would be equally bogged if you had the map and connected to the server.
Hence the reason for the slow map downloads - these caps are relatively low, so downloading maps from a server won't slow down the server any. It just means you'll have to wait longer.
It's rather difficult for you to know when a lag spike is caused by users downloading maps considering they don't show up on the scoreboard. Let me know how you came up with this nonsense.
