<div class="IPBDescription">The first post was just a warmup.</div>O.K. Ive started a small portion of my map. I'll get a layout to you people soon. I still havent finalized one, so I cant really post. Each post says what I already know is wrong with each one.
P.S. If anyone knows a site that explains clip brushes and things, please tell me.

    Heres a room that needs filling. I really need help on this one. Somehtign to make it interesting. i know it needs a bit more color in this shot too. ANy suggestuions.

    Cool lookin!  For a bit more colour, how bout some rust stains added to the textures, or something like that?  A stripe of colour almost never goes wrong as well.  Possibly more direct light, with harder shadows (more definiton between the dark and the light.

    Re: room that needs filling -- How about breaking the fan?  Have the grate hanging at a crazy angle, the fan tilted precariously, maybe one of the blades bent, and some sparks and/or steam coming out of the piping?  Even if it's not an actual alien vent (which it could be), it'd add some atmosphere to the room.

    Another option would be piping/wiring along the walls... *shrugs*

    Re: "the good room" -- things look a little square to me.  What kind of room is it?  Try adding some equipment that fits the theme of the room.

    Maybe you should adjust the contrast on those pics so the rest of us can see what you see, since the env_gamma isn't accounted for when you take screenshots.

    Right now all I can see is some texture lights in pitchblack rooms. Literally pitchblack.

    I really can't make out much at all either. I can see more than pitch blackness with lights, but not a whole lot more than it. Is it this dark ingame?

    I'd love to comment, but I really can't see anything either.

    THe room that needs filling -  How about some storage/refrigeration units, constructed using some of that green lighting strip you use near the floor.  You could use some lights around the storage unit to define the lighting in the room too.  Good Stuff, though I think a transition texture could be used in some places connecting the top layer of floor to your lighting strip.  Some places it looks fine, others it just looks a little funny.

    i can see ll the architecture easily.

    what i wouls duggest is not having so much of that green texture everywhere, its kinda repetitive.
