from my other one that i got too mad
CS and NS is very different, NS requires teamwork from the beginning to the end. CS probably doesn't. here's the thing: it's okay to go out and frag, but only if you and your teammates know that THAT will benefit the team. like perhaps get a jp and a welder and perhaps flame the hive or something like that, but then you'll have to understand that teamwork is always the key.

it's alright if you're new to NS but did play CS for a time, just change. convert yourself from an all fragging guy to someone who would accept teamwork in a game.

watch movies that have police in them, you will notice that they don't go into a terrorist stronghold and frag the terrorists. NO. if they have to frag terrorists, they do it in a TEAM! in UNISON!

that's basically it, laters.

CS doesn't require teamwork in pubs only because there is no teamwork in pubs. If the T team co-operates and works as a team (omg), then the CTs are in a world of hurt if they don't follow suit. But because some Ts will camp, some will go one way and some the other, you can play deathmatch.

But in any case, you need teamwork in NS pubs much more than you do in CS pubs.

Teamwork plus skill works, if the other team has more talent/skill then your team, you can work together all you want, you'll still get murdered.

CS was based on teamwork and even in pubs it use to be used. Then it drifted about to "who cares, do what you want" attitude. Now for NS, it is a teamwork game. Teamwork games are funner then just running around doing nothing feeding of somebodies kill that they just injured to 2 hp.

CS gravitated towards the orgy o' violence attitude but I don't think NS will ever end up that bad. Even on the lowliest pubs with the worst players imaginable there is still SOME sense of team. You can't just wander off on your own every single game and die and have any fun. It requires teamwork to make the game fun, which almost everyone who plays realizes pretty quick i think

in NS, teamwork should be your first instinct. but in CS, people tend to instinctivly go "frag" mode

bleh, I would love it if in CS 1.6 or whatever they removes ability for the players in CS to see their frags and deaths. Do you know how many lamers and immature freaks that would remove from the CS scene? They should also remove alien frag/kills for NS, and only show team scores.

that "might" be the solution. but i'm talking about the marines, that have guns...like guns you shoot in CS. the fact that in CS you shoot and NS marines you shoot, you carry the same instinct.

I just had to laugh when a hardcore cser started to argue with me that serious games of CS needed so much more teamwork than NS ever needs.
Needless to say he doesn't end up winning in NS very much
