This wasn't a speculation thread, it was a direct question about NS_Mineshaft, which Coil answered (thank you Coil) I play regulary on FoR's server, at least when I can get in. Thats why I noticed the playtest.

The last 2 numbers don't matter, as long as they're below 255
afaik, My lan has a different IP address, but that's because we can deal with dynamic IPs for everyone in my college. My home has 5 computers using the IPs 0.1, 0.2, 0.3, 1.1, 1.2 (the 1.<!--emo&???--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/confused.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='confused.gif'><!--endemo--> are the newer machines, so we changed their IPs so we could track net usage easier). you use the 192.168 if you're a cheap **** and want to network computers together in the same.. I want to say subnet.

a bit off topic but, where can I pick up that haf-life frontend? I stopped using gamespy a LONG time ago...and have been stuck with standard half-life for joining games
