<div class="IPBDescription">My first foray into NS Fan Fic</div> The Diplomat is a fan fic that I've been meaning to do for a little while now.
The writings below are merely to test the water, to see if I should bother writing the rest.
And with that I give you:
THE DIPLOMAT
The waves crash against the rocky coastline, slowly eating away at the rocks. Eventually, after you or me are long gone, the water would still be surging with the tides, trying to push its way inland. The same can’t be said for the rocks, despite their formidable resolve, they would be gone, eaten away by the endless waves. People have occasionally wondered what the water would do if it didn’t have any land to throw itself against, but they always come to the same conclusion; The water would pound against the only thing it had to pound against. Itself.

Keller was starting to get annoyed; he had been trying to light his cigarette for the past 10 minutes, but every time he got his lighter going, an overhead pipe would decide to spring a leak and **** all over his lighter. It didn’t matter where he stood, the pipe or one of its friends would always manage to find him and relieve itself all over his lighter. It wasn’t much longer before he snapped.
“God damn it! Who the hell would put leaky pipes all over the damn ceiling?”
“My guess is the people who built this place”
“Shut the hell up Red, I don’t need your **** right now.”
“Sorry to interrupt your social lives ladies, I need you back at base Keller, you’re going to scout out a possible hive location.”
Keller looked around the room he had fortified with Red, the location readout on his HUD identified the room as Flow Control. The centrepiece of the room was a large computer which monitored the water flow in the massive pipe that ran just below the floor.
“Sure, anything would be better then sitting here twiddling my thumbs with Rednut”
“That really hurts Keller, I thought I meant something to you.”
As Keller stepped into the phase he threw his cigarette lighter at Red’s head. Red was able to duck out of the way just before it hit him. With a grin still plastered all over his face, Red pulled a cigarette out from under his shoulder pad and unflattened it before using Keller’s lighter to light it, on the first try. Red then climbed onto one of the pipes that came out of the computer and began to puff away.

ummm
it basically says that you've been meaning to do some fan-fic (which is good)
and your just testing out your writing, and you might write the rest, and then you introduced your story
right?<!--emo&???--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/confused.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='confused.gif'><!--endemo--><!--emo&???--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/confused.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='confused.gif'><!--endemo-->?

still thinking though
400x75 pixels is the "recomended" size
and I'm guessing that it's a picture of Agents Smiths gun as he shoots neo in the cheast in the end of the matrix, right?
Mouse, I still don't get the meaning of your first paragraph, but soon it will come to me
Man = water,
rock/land = everything else
Man will fight everything, and when he has nothing/noone to fight, he'll fight himself?
it was actually Kharra = water and Man = land
