You Provide The Dialogue
I figured this could be good for a laugh - someone posts an NS screenshot, and you provide the caption/dialogue for it. This could include conversation between on-screen players, an argument with the commander/hivemind, someone talking to themself, a caption, or whatever else you can think up.
To help facilitate some form of sanity, I'll post a few quick rules:
1) Have only one screenshot 'active' at a time. If there are a half-dozen screenshots currently getting mocked, it could get very confusing. Once the current screenshot gets 7 days worth of posts, the thread is then free for the next one. In other words, there can be a new screenshot every Monday.
2) In regards to any on-screen chat text in a screenshot - no racist, derogatory, or insulting remarks, no profanity, etc. In other words, typical forum rules apply. If it's in your screenshot, make it unreadable before submitting it (ie: thick black line over it).
3) Anyone's screenshot is fair game for posting, but give credit to the person who F5'ed it if it's not yours.
4) Scale down the size of your screenshot submissions!! If you play at a high resolution, your screenshots will be huge. I figure aiming for an image size of approximately 800x600 is reasonable (even MSPaint can scale down image sizes, so you have no excuse!!).
5a) If you're adding a dialogue submission, try to include only the screenshot and your dialogue in your post.
5b) If you're responding to someone's dialogue, quote only the text submission and not the image. It'd be hard on bandwidth if every post had the image included in it.
6) Try and link the screenshots to your own webspace. I'm hoping this thread works out nicely, which means a lot of images will get included over the next few weeks/months. If they're mostly on other users' webspace, it'd save a good deal of NS's bandwidth.
Anyways, I'll get this thing started by posting a screenshot. I got this one from a thread in General Discussion - FireStorm gets credit for this pic.
