sum it up:
You know those swipe cards you have for college? Check the swipe boxes, see if they say BlackBoard or AT&T, if they do...

security? whats that?

There apaears to be a gaping hole in the most common 'security card' that colleges use, check out the article and links for more info

I THINK that my college dosn't use this (thank god)

    We don't use it either, fortunately.

    There was an article about this exact thing in 2600 a few months back - crazy stuff.

    MINE DOES!! But Im going to wait until tommorow to check it out, considering Im too lazy to walk down three flights of stair and check to see if it does say AT&T or Blackboard, I will tell you tommorow (like anybody cares anyway....)

    haha, at my friend's college, where security is actually a word (not at mine), the only time he uses his "swipe card" is to swipe the lock and get into the buildings, just like in those detective shows.

    @ Flatline, hehe that is actualy now against the law <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo--> (both my parents are proffs so I know random stuff like that) your SS# (sounds wrong don't it) is not suposed to be ussed for identification purposes

    My school Has T# (T######## is the way it goes) mine is:
    T00122330 (great aint it <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->)

    Oh yah, forgot to say.

    These security cards are the same ones you use to get into meals, buy stuff with what ever form of fake/reall money your college usses to buy stuff (so laundry rooms, soda machines, local stores that are set up with it etc)

    that is the creepy part <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->

    people can create a fake account with large amounts of fake money on it then go buy stuff, or hack you account and go into buildings to steal stuff (I for instance have access to the building with the CS labs 24/7 however it logs my use of my card when I step in, so yah)

    Oh, I always feel nice and cozy, especially when I wake up and read "Murder Suspect still not found in campus shooting", and people ask me why I dont go out at night....
