<div class="IPBDescription">I didnt even know I had this game...</div> This game rocks... Looks a bit better than HL and it scared the Heck outta me more than a few times.

Im just finishing Up in the hydroponics area, And from listening to all the audio files and listening to what that Parasites tell you about "mother" <!--emo&:0--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/wow.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wow.gif'><!--endemo--> It seems that the chick/computer your working for created the parasites

Also, I heard of the Maidens using a "Sorrow" trap... what the heck is that?

    SS2 is one scary game. <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->

    I would sell my soul to Warren Spector. I mean, System Shock 1 & 2, Thief, and Deus Ex? Who wouldn't!

    Gwar, keep playing. You'll find it eventually. (Muahahahaha!)

    I have a pretty good strategy...

    I started with the psionic character, And i have a speed upgrade and lvl 4 energy weapons <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->

    I use a damage reducing ability, and run into the room hacking everything up with my laser rapier ^_^

    The best part GWAR.... Just when you think you are getting close to finishing the game and getting off that ship alive.. Guess what. You are only halfway.

    Actually this happens several times in the game. Hydroponics??? Arrgh. You have a long way to go. <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->

    Thanatos is a liar! You're almost done!

    <i>Aside to Thanatos, GWAR shouldn't read this</i>: Bah, you jerk! Why'd you have to tell him?! <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->

    One of the best games ever. SS2, then Deus Ex. Of course, the Invisible War looks very nice too..

    Look for the voice message that says "...will feel so much sorrow." Then you'll know where the sorrow trap is. What you don't know is what it is, and we won't tell you.

    System Shock and its sequal are the best games of all time! Good thing you found you owned a copy of this, otherwise you'd be missing out on quite an experience! <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo--> I cant think of any recent game that matches these 2.

    The PDA messages.. pure lurv. Malik scared the crap out of me, same with Miller and some of the others. Recreation and Hydroponics are my favourite decks.

    Strategy tip to GWAR.

    If you are going for Psi Try to get neurotic-redirection. That will get really useful. And if you like your rapier you will love the Psi-sword. That in combination with invisibility is a killer all the time.

    I really have to buy this game now!!! It sounds well good.

    Guess what? You can get it free from <a href='http://www.the-underdogs.org/' target='_blank'>Underdogs</a>! Its 258 mb, takes a few days to DL because UD is always so slow... A great game <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->

    Only 6 hours. The downside is that its a cd-rip. No movies included, which makes the game ending disappointing if you haven't seen it before.
  • PegenatorPegenator Join Date: 2002-12-21 Member: 11269Members
    Hey, I live in Finland, it takes longer to DL it from here. It really sucks that there's no movies... But still a great game.

    OMG!! I just beat it again yesterday. I was navy, with a hack skill, cyber affinity, strength, normal weapons at max. Yeah, I hate hydroponics!! I hate it alot!! Hehe, so much sorrow....

    What, Im outta of ammo? Agh!! I hear one around the corner!! Must find ammo. Found ammo, but my weapon jammed, and there getting closer, did I activate the geentic reassembler thing in here? Crap, its getting closer, what is it I never heard it before! CRap, dead end, looks like I have to use my trusty wrench....

    Okay downloading now, it's estimated at 5 hours for me. By the time I've got the file, it'll be ... night time. I'm not sure I can play this before going to bed.

    Maybe I'm making a mistake by downloading it?

    Anyway, make sure you click the links on the website to keep the website and it's downloads alive.

    annelids are highly resistant to all energy weapons, including the laser rapier. As you will eventually have to face large numbers of them, I would reccomend you either invent in some psis to deal with them (adrenaline and psi extention, or pyrokenesis comes to mind, in addition to invisiblity) or invest in exotic weapons (for shard, and the vastly underrated proliferator and worm launcher).

    I've just read that this game has multiplayer, so it can be completed with friends (or other chickens). I wonder if it'll work with this cd-rip or it requires an authentication. It'll be cool to play it for the first time with other people from this forum!

    Any ideas? - who's interested in going multiplayer?

    *Raises hand*

    MEH!

    But I can't... What a pity. Damn parents... Damn them all!

    (Maybe we can do it after 3 years, when I turn 18? <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo--> )

    That's an excellent idea. I wonder if there are any Brits around here to play with.
  • Error404Error404 Join Date: 2002-11-19 Member: 9353Members
    I'm a Brit!! I don't mind hosting, I'm sure that a 4 year old game can't put that many demands on my system.

    I'm still downloading though....

    It'll be cool to play with another person, at least have a good chuckle.

    Any more Brits or Europeans interested? Or Americans with fast connection to UK?

    i just rediscovered it and am playing through it now also. I got a bit burned out on it a year ago mostly because of how awkward it is to use psionics. Now im a hacker and everything's cool <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo--> .
