Where did you...?
Where did everyone first hear about NS? I'm just wondering because I see many new names each day and I'm wondering where everyone is comming from.
A list of downloadable/in production multiplayer HL mods, can't remember the link to it but there's tons of different mods being developed right now, everything from vietnam to feudal japan shogun style. It's crazy.
followed a link on the TF2-Boards some time ago
Flayra was pimpin around on the valve-erc forums looking for mappers. He said then, and it's still true now, that NS would be one of the hardest mods to map for, and that any mappers looking for a challenge should come check it out (so hell if I know why I stopped by ). September 18th. Whee, it's sure been a long time. Back then, you could actually go back and read all the old posts, and not spend more than a few hours on your butt.
PHL long time ago, before the modexpo, I think the readyroom was already online before the modexpo tho , not sure, cuz i visted ns.org before i knew rr.org
I can't remember why I was lookign round, I think it was cos some llama crossing pic on the DC forums and whenever anyone hosts pics I always look around their webspace for more interesting pics.
The pics I saw were of some NS map in worldcraft, and I really liked the textures and the style of the maps so I wandered off to find more info about NS.

I showed up a while ago(November or December), loved what I saw, and then promptly forgot the url. Then at some point in January I remembered how cool it was and started searching around. PHL directed me to where I wanted to be. I don't remember how I found it at first though.

DOOM, theres no way you heard about NS over a year ago as is first ever post on PHL was on the day I registered on the forums: 07-22-2001.
And I'm never going to stop saying this, but Hectate and I were the first ever NS fans registered on the first ever NS forums. Except of course for the people who were then developers (N@rby, Crinity...)
I heard it from a friend of mine. Recently you call him Nemesis Zero.
One day when we played Shadowrun he was crazy about NS, so I told him to show it to me and we surfed rr.org... Watched the models.. watched the maps.. (especially the one Nemesis and Freestyler make, it looks great) -> I was hooked.
PHL... I think... I just remember clicking on a link about combining FPS with RTS in HL (an idea for a game that I had a while back, but it also included flight simulators and tank simulators too ). that was around november/december.
First time shots got posted on PHL, was of NS_Basts's readyroom, I was taken in an instant I soon offered mirrors for large files (I had a great host at the time) nad, well, yah
