<div class="IPBDescription">What is yours?</div> I just posted this topic in here, it felt a little to unserious to post in the General Discussion forums. Anyhoo, what mouse sensitivity do you use in NS? Mine is 14.

That reminds me of the old quake times, when the real "elite" players had sensitivities at around 40... Sigh, that was the times <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/wink.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wink.gif'><!--endemo--> Just go to the Schroet Kommando website, <a href='http://www.schroet.com' target='_blank'>http://www.schroet.com</a> , the world's best CS team, and look at their sensitivities. I mean, 1.4! How can you even play with something like that?
<a href='http://www.team3d.net' target='_blank'>Last time I checked, Team 3D was "best" cs team</a> I mean with sponsers like NVidia and Comp USA and all..
Anyway, depending on the game, my sensitivty is anywhere between 10 and 15 <!--emo&???--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/confused.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='confused.gif'><!--endemo-->
With this setting, I can rotate my character anywhere between 360 and 450 degrees by moving the mouse from left to right or vice versa as far as I can without lifting my wrist off the pad.
I try to put it at about the same sensitivity in every game. In HL mods it's always 3. But that's because I don't play deathmatch/fragfeast high reaction-needed games.
I play with subtility <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo--> And I don't play on a 2"*2" pad so I don't need to do micromovements to control my mouse. I got space <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo--> My mouse area is the only cleaned up space in my room <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->
When I play CS, I have it set to 3, I need the accuracy. But when you are skulking in NS, you don't need accuracy. Then it is much more important to turn fast. That and that I have a tiny mouse pad. <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/wink.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wink.gif'><!--endemo-->

12, regardless of mod. You learn to make extremely fine movements, or in some cases to edge the pad under the mouse, when sniping with it set that high. Still can switch off to an assault loadout though, if I feel like dropping my SSG3000 in favor of an Uzi, MP5, and the Stealth skill. ps_swamp menkeyhunt!
It varies, but I use the same sensitivity for all games. First it was 15, then 10, now 12. I also put mouse filter on, though I'm not actually sure if it helps my aim.
why make "fine movements" when you got the place to move? The limit in any case is not you (no matter the sens, it's just a question of time -and space available to you- to be able to get adapted to your sens. I have used respectively these sens:
3, 4.5, 6, 1.5, 10, 15, 1.5, 3
My main problem at those big sens (10 and 15) was that my mouse making big gaps between two points. I tried to move it only a tiny bit, but it just would just move notch by notch. With 1.5, my func pad isn't large enough for me to do 180° in one stroke, and with 3 I got it about right. I can do really really small movements (this is for CS, where precision counts) and as I said I try to keep my sensitivity uniformal.
So the problem isn't quite me, but really the mouse. If you have a really good mouse than this doesn't really apply. But I'm quite nervous and sometimes my aim is all shakey, having a low sens helps smoothing it out.
damn is it just me or is my sensitivity the highest??
set at 120 in the console in ns.
it just doesnt turn fast enough.... well now its fine.... my bf said i got it up tooo high , he tried to play on my pc with ns, tried to turn and did 3 circles and didnt know where he was HAHA <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->
that's why you shouldnt use a stamp for a mousepad kylie <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->

Holy crap, how the hell do you guys hit anything with "21" etc !? <!--emo&:0--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/wow.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wow.gif'><!--endemo--> I use 3.0 in Counter-Strike and 3.5 in DoD and NS. <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->
I've always used between 3.5 and 5. Never even tried to seriously play with a higher setting--I tried setting it to 15 or something once, but changed it back once I ended up facing 180 degrees away from where I wanted to look. Maybe I should check out higher values sometime...

How do they?) <!--QuoteEnd--> </td></tr></table><span class='postcolor'> <!--QuoteEEnd--> They use one of those huge desk-sized mousepads and move their ENTIRE ARM to turn in a circle.

If you wanna get really tricky use mouse acceleration. Move the mouse fast and you've got a high sensitivity for CQC, move it slow and you can make long distance shots easy.

I'm not at home so I can't check but I think my sensitivity is at 9. I dunno how anyone can play with sensitivity higher than that.
I have it set to 9, with a script that reduces it to 3 while I hold Mouse4 for improved accuracy.
On The Specialists it is 6 though, because people always some how manage to just sneak behind you.
The mods owns.

If I find it's a little too slow or too fast, I'll tweak it a bit, but 99% of the time I'll just learn to adapt to the new speed.
