Can anyone tell me how to set kerning(the space in which Photoshop spaces individual letters apart) back to default?

As a minor note, I use PS7.

select the text tool
on the top (well with the basic layout) there should be a button (looks kinda like a folder or something, its the last button) (toggle charachter and paragraph palets)

set it kerning to metric <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->
