Nice model, have you rigged it on any bones yet? I'm a little curious on how it looks in motion.
(edit: hmm, I guess this should be in this model's other thread)
Now, I've begun the actual part of my first attempt at a skin for...anything. First off, I want to know what you people think about all the little scratches on the sides, lots, little, or in between. Also, I know i'll be adding emblems over them. I jsut want to know how I'm doing so far <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->

Hope there are others out there trying, because in 4 hours, this is all i've gotten done lol.
I'm just going off of two refrences, and just working with the BMP. Only thing I looked up was how to actually get the skin onto the model <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->
Luckily, I have a break from school till tuesday, so, If I postpone a social life, I may have this done for everyone by then.
Also, thanks for the compliments <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->
Since you folks can't seem to control your bladder (looks at nightcrawler), here's two more pictures.
Also, Once I make everything pretty, I'll get the chrome helmet thingy going <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/wink.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wink.gif'><!--endemo-->
The model hasnt been rigged yet, i shall begin today if I have the time, i actually don't know if i should use the default marine skeleton or make my own (and my own animations then) , since ms3d expired on me i won't be able to get it's skeleton :'(
Wilkins, that's uberpwn, i can't wait to see the final result!
I'd like some tags <a href='http://www.battle.net/images/broodwar/pix/wall/terrprev.jpg' target='_blank'>Like here</a>, you don't see many of them (2) but youg et the idea <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/wink.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wink.gif'><!--endemo-->
Billy Silverfish : actually, since my ms3d expired, i can't get any exterior versions without having a smd importer for max, having a crack, or formatting =/
or finding the key in the registry and editing it <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/wink.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wink.gif'><!--endemo-->.
but then again, it's probably encoded <!--emo&???--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/confused.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='confused.gif'><!--endemo--> .
Wow. Wilkins that is amazing. My only two suggestions are 1. Tags 2. The Helmet Visor looks like its covered with mud- maybe a bit chrome-ier. Dunno, just looks a bit wierd.
Great job on everything else though. The whole ten bucks (or whatever)right there. Nice scratches.
Sometime today I'll get the chroming going, and I'll work on getting the tags in.
Tresth, I recommend we make this for the HA. The other SC model is for the Regular marine, lets do something different <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/wink.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wink.gif'><!--endemo-->
Thanks for the suggestions though, folks. Helps me keep prioritiesed <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/wink.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wink.gif'><!--endemo--> I think it'll be Wednesday at least before I get it done (let me be, this is my first skin job ever hehe), since this isn't at all final, I want to get everything looking sharper <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/wink.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wink.gif'><!--endemo--> So, that'll give Tresth time to get the animations started.
And, above else, welcome to the forums, DoctorJ <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->
However, the LA guy won't be spared and will benefit a Ghost skin <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->
I'll do it later, me lazy
