Correlation?</div> Okay, since installing latest detonator drivers, I've noticed a lot of 'ambient' sounds (music, hive noises, drips in Sewer hive etc) are "stuttering". Now, it <b>may</b> have been like that a bit before (I have vague memories) but it's certainly got worse.

Suggestions?

Anyway the latest Detonators are MAJOR buggy

Plus it aint certain that you'll get better FPS with never drivers
Some cards perform better on older detonators

Yeah, but FPS ain't my problem. Stuttering sounds is.

And to confirm, I tried a few other mods. None have the same problem as NS.

Have you tried changing the audio settings like EAX, A3D, and high quality sound?

And when I said that the latest detonators are buggy I meant that as in "SWITCH BACK AND SEE IF IT GETS ANY BETTER !"

That's the first thing you should have done anyway seeing as how it started when you installed them

Tried a rollback, still there.

No idea why, very annoying. And confirmed, it's DEFINITELY just the music that is affected.

You have an aureal card. I used to have one. It's absolutely great for 3d sound with hearphones <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->

My suggestion: download the last A3D 3 drivers and activate A3D.


You may hear more sounds because the range of the sound with an aureal card is twice bigger than the range of a creative card.
