    You don't need the source code to build a map...

    something tells me getting one's hands on the source code means mega-ch34tz.

    ... Source code? You have never mapped before have you. All you need is the NSTR. (Natural Selection Technology Release) That gives you the NS specific items. However, since you have obviously never mapped before, start with a different mod, like CS, or HLDM. Despite what your intentions may be, n00b maps tend to come out lower quality. So let a different mod suffer the n00b maps.

    There's no need to scare anyone off, pieceofsoap. I would suggest going to the Mapping Forum, and asking the people there for some help. It's great that you've worked out some layouts, it helps to know what you're going for.
