Install Problem!

ok, ive looked through lots of pages of posts and no fixes yet on this problem, so i hope u guys will fill me in on what im missing.
I download NS from 3 diff sites, still same prob, the prob is that when i try to intall it says the stuff about how i dont have v 1.1.1.0 halflife. I do have that. I have tried everything i can think of. My halflife stuff is here : D:/Half-Life

Are you sure you have 1.1.1.0 Half-Life? Are you suuuure? Because if you just installed Half-Life off a CD, it's nowhere near the right version - it needs a patch. Go to www.planethalflife.com .

It's also important to make sure that the directory the installer lists as your HL directory is the same as the real one. If you just copied files from one location to another instead of installing, for example, it will default to a path that may not be correct.
