We are playing in eclipse with 3 people on each team and I'm on aliens. One guys goes gorge so we go off and do the usual skulk stuff. 3 minuets later, he evolves straight into a lerk, never made any chambers or anything. We yell at him, but he insists he’s great as a lerk and proceeds to attack the marines setting up in comp core.
He is promptly killed, and complains that it was because we never made any d towers for upgrades!
Next, I go gorge and start saving for a resource tower, but when he spawns, he goes gorge too. He sits around the hive till he gets 33 resources, goes lerk and dies again. By this time the marines have 8 or so turrets in maintenance and CC with phase gates, so there not much we can do. I try to salvaged the game, but by the time we have 3 resource towers up, the have jp/hmg gunning our hive down.

Err, don't worry about it. We just be patient, ignore the losers & wait for 1.1.
Sorry to jump on the bandwagon, but there's very little point in posting about 1.04 atm. Everything pretty much has been discussed to death, and there's little point in going on about stuff that we know is being altered.
On a separate point, for a new thing, instead of always being <b>obsessed</b> with getting hive 2 up, try dropping one RT, then going for 3 DC's. I tried it the other night on WServers, and it's surprisingly effective in holding up the JP rush, because you live long enough to go chomp spawn a bit. And if you can take down Proto or Armoury (or better, IP's) that stalls them nicely.
