Auto Help Keeps Turning Itself Back On

The auto help windows that pop up when you first start playing NS recently started turning itself on. I go into customize, advanced and uncheck the box, but as soon as I resume the game they turn on again. I seem to remember having this problem before, and I think I fixed it by turning off the help in the console, but I cant remember what the command is. Does anyone know what it is or where I can find out?

If not that, go to the HL folder, and go to properties. Turn off read only for it and all sub-directories.
