<div class="IPBDescription">seems mp3 sounds and wav files</div> seems mp3 sounds and wav files are playing at different volumes.

the SAME problem is happening when i load TFC!

i DID have a virus on my computer that i have since cleaned it out.

but it does seem that the mp3 and the wav files are playing at different volumes.

i.e.
PG is SUPER loud
gunfire is REALLY quiet
dropping of casings from gun is LOUD

btw does anyone know which files are for the gunfire? i can't find them. i can find the gun reloading and such, but not the gunfire... ??

so, anyone have any uber tips for me?

i've looked at the config.cfg to check mp3 and bgsound volumes. everything seems fine.

my guess is that some registry key has been changed to play mp3s different from .wavs?

oh, and the .wavs and .mp3s play the SAME volume when i play them in winamp.

Monse, do you have any uber windows tips for me?

Win 2000 pro
AMD 1600 XP
SB Audigy Gamer
512 DDR RAM

uhm, if you guys need any other info on my system, please ask!

i know i answered a while ago to someone elses sound problem, that has NOT helped me!

plse help!

Thanks for reading this rant!

well, I would say a simple fix for this is to play with:
    MP3Volume
    bgmvolume
suitvolume (though I am almost positive NS dosn't use this)
    volume
just start a LAN and play with the ##s till you get em right <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->

He said he already checked the volume
Anyway there is no general settings about filetypes so it's something in HL
    My guess is it IS the volumes <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->
Did you check the NS config.cfg ?
