spending £300 on broadband and a half decent video card of course, its the only way to get better fps without making NS look terrible.
well thats what i suspect this is, it comes up whenever i "lag" out. the ready room is fine, but as soon as i join a team it goes to hell, and i cant move or anything. Also, my valve hammer editor has slowed down all of a sudden! moving the camera is terribly difficult as it delays and moves painfully slow. I have defragmented my Hard Drive, but it hasnt fixed VHE. Ill give NS another go soon to see if this was a temporary problem.

Norn, try looking at the tweak guides that are currently webbed, they provide good ways to get the most out of your current video card and how to tweak it for better performance.

If you run W2K/XP, then open up the Task Manager and monitor your CPU usage during those activities. You might have something running in the background that is sucking up all your CPU cycles. Spyware anyone? (Go try SpyBot...you'll be amazed at how much crap is installed on your system without your knowledge.)

If your hammer editor is slowing down, its most likely your video card being **** because valve hammer runs OpenGL....try updating your driver for your vid. card. Or it could be RAM, because I had the same problem before I got more ram. (What video card do you have and how much RAM? -DDR, SD, RD?)
