A client patch is made. That doesn't mean it's finalized. Things could still change and thus.... we still have to wait

    ... When its done...

And how do you think they update versions during playtesting? You don't redownload the whole 100 meg package. There are multiple 'release canidates' which are essentially client passages.

Personally, I think anyone with a member number under 1000 should be considered a vet and given 1.1 early :-D

Bah... just because I didn't take the initiative to sign up to be a PT when I first saw the newspost on PHL doesn't mean i'm not a good person :\

(I honestly didn't think i'd ever get accepted)

The playtesters have received no fewer than seven versions of NS 1.1 to date, in the form of full installs or (usually) patches. There will be more versions before it releases.

ive noticed the servers are labeled 1.1a through 1.1g and i knew that was versions, but i would assume clients only need one version containing models and the changes would be purely server side, like the difference between 1.00 and 1.04, if the clients needed new patches it seems to mean that they are changing guis or models often.... wihch is odd... nevermind i forgot yall hate speculation.

We've received several versions as coil mention, but not all of them are client side downloads. Some of them were just serverside changes. Just like the 1.0 - 1.04 process. Oh, and go read the front page, it's posted there how soon the 1.1 release is- perhapsmaybeifgodwilling

Traditionally the server is the one that is patched more over than the client, but when critical changes are made to the actual version number. E.G 1.1a-b-c whatever, a patch is issued. So clients ARE upgrading along with the server. Also, who cares; rumours will be dispelled AFTER the release of 1.1
