Im having a weird problem. Im using Hammer and ZHLT. When I create maps, eveything looks good. Then I run them through hammer and I cant see the comm chair or hive. I can see every othe object that I placed. Ive sent the .rmf to a friend and he can see the comm and hive in my file. I thought corupt files somewhere, so I reinstalled NS and Hammer and ZHLT again and started new. Same thing, I can see them as blocks in camera view, but when I run the map through Hammer, just the hive and com chair are gone. Any ideas? im lost. Any help would be great. Thank you.

My guess is that when you run the map in game, you never join a team. Entities like resource towers (not the nozzles, the towers on top), comm chairs, hives, etc, will not be drawn for people who are supposed to be in the 'ready room', since these people should not be anywhere that would have such structures. Whats interesting is that even though they are not drawn, they are still solid - if you go where the comm chair SHOULD be, you'll probably find a mysterious box of air that you cannot walk through, but can jump on top of, as if it were a comm chair.

Solution - put at least one team_start entity (forget the exact name) for each team down and either use the 'jointeamone/jointeamtwo' console commands to join a team or just make the ready room and put the regular team join entities in. Once you join a team, your cc and hives etc should be visible.

Yeah, tell me about it.. I just spent an hour trying to figure out why a func_button refused to trigger a func_door. I checked and double checked and triple checked and quadruple checked the door name and the button target name, I made sure the door wasn't use only, I played with various combinations of trigger reset times, toggle flags, everything you can think of, and nothing worked. And then it magically started to work, and I still have no idea why it didn't before. *shrug* Go figure.

Now to figure out why the switchable texture lights aren't switching either.. TL@name my ****...
