I got some serious 3d problems...
It all begun..wait! I don't even know when it begun.
Anyway, I got some serious problems running any 3d-related program on my computer. Everytime i try to run half-life it says my videocard doesn't support opengl. (which it does normally) This results in the frustration of not being able to play the MOHAA demo or MAP FOR NS! I tried a bunch of drivers, I RE-INSTALLED WINDOWS 98 (those installation pics are really scary!, I tried glsetup, I reinstalled directX, GOD I even started F***ing around in BIOS (which i know nothing about) the other day (it's seemes to be turned off somehow though, if that is possible)
God this must look pathetic

What resolution and color depth do you have set, in game?

hi MonsieurEvil
i can't really say what resolution MOHAA is set to... something very low. But it doesn't seem to matter anyways since HL is set to 1024xblah and started resusing to start and still refusing to stop refusing start at the same time.
It could just be that your card is failing. Do you have a spare to try, or a friend's to borrow to make 100% sure it's not a software issue?
Since i'm using the swedish version of win98 it gets hard to explain this... hmmm... U know what this is but most likely have a different name for it:
There is a list called "system" or "system properties" or something, follow me? U rightclick the icon on the desktop named "den har datorn" which means "this computer" and choose properties. This list displays all hardware installed. If there is something wrong, a small yellow X appears next to the unit that has a problem (like bad drivers or such). My problem is; there is no X, so everything SHOULD work... ######!
I would recommend finding another card temporarily (from a friend perhaps), and throwing it in real fast. If that card works, you have verififed that there's nothing wrong with your OS, software, or PC, and have isolated that really is your video card. Since you can't contact the vendor anymore (they be dead), you can decide what to do, be it getting a new card or...getting a new card. If the other card also doesn't work, the problem lies within software or your PC's board itself.
Either way, let us know what happens.
i will...
It's like a big stone just rolled off my chest. Finally I can begin to live again
Seriously, trust me i've been to hell and back trying to fix this so, i feel pretty good right now...
