Zerg Ultralisk Paralyze Animation

<div class="IPBDescription">another request for suggestions</div> i know that paralyze is probably gonna be replaced by stomp when 1.1 comes out, but since my model is very likely to be released before that, i need some suggestions on the attack 2 ( paralyze ) animation.

this animation is in loop.

keep in mind that this one only affects the upper body. NOT legs and lower body

    You could have the ultra lower it's head and thrust it forward (maybe shooting the spikes out of the dome of its head) Or you could have it just roar and shoot them out of its mouth. I like the first idea better though.

    Make it like its been shot in the head, its head jerks back and his mouth opens? Thats my guess...

    with the front tusks or what ever they are, they could quicky jab into the marine and like stun him.

    like imagine u have 2 knives in your hands, and your holding the out in front of u, and u quicky stab inwards.

    just make it stomp? the force of it would probobly make the ground shake stunning someone, and stunning is like paralyzing?

    the animation doesn't effect the lower body... this would be impossable....




    i say, head back and down from - to /

    then back again, like a dog nuzzeling his momma.... but this is just my idea...

    I think it should just have a roar kind of anim, and no tentacles. Ain't no reason it can't paralyze someone with fear by bellowing in their face, n'est pas?

    oh and I like the lowering head idea for something that's like, hidding in the carapace...

    well, these are the only 2 animations i'd like to hear some suggestions, since i'm not sure how to properly do it.

    perhaps if it just whacked you with a sideways forceful flick of its head with his blades. similar to a pistol whip. i only suggest this other than something else because i currently have a pistol whip fetish...don't mind me.

    make him hit his own head with a tusk, breaking his own tooth off that then flies in a perfect parabolic motion curve to the marines head, hitting him in the temple and paralzying him from fear and the stupidity that a 12 and a half ton animal bent on killing him would actually bother to break one of its own teeth off in an attempt to make him stop running away.

    i'd say just leave it with the same animation as the gore attack with the pincers coming together

    I'd like to make the note that paralyze(/lyse) is a <b>ranged</b> attack, so any melee ("pistol whip kind of swipe with his tusks")animations wouldn't really work.
    I like the first suggestion the most.
