Enforcer's Zergling Skinmesh

I've been working on enforcer's model and began skinmeshing it.
First of all, I saved it from the ms3d infestation and lowered the polycount to 1250~ while keeping the same quality.
Then i began meshing it, but due to the fact it's my 2nd skinmesh ever and working with a "difficult" model, i had to give up.
It was mainly because i couldn't make it without any stretching parts (in fact i did, but max crashed and i can't get it back, and im pretty sure everyone knows the frustration you get when you lose your 24hour work)
The front and back legs, the body,neck and tail are meshed with the minimum stretching i could do with my actual meshing skill. It only misses feet, head, scales and dorsal claws.
I'm releasing here my current state before max crashed. And i really hope someone will continue working on it. You can even scratch my current skinmesh if you think it sucks too much lol ^^

Anyway, going back to my marine skeleton

    yea i'd like to kno that too.. what do u use to skin it. If i learn to mesh, it might get this released faster

    I used 3dsmax and uvwunwrap to make the skinmesh
    and the texporter plugin to make it bmp like you see.

    Please someone work on it, its worth it.

    i would personaly like geek to have a go at this. after seeing his incredible skin for the thing therougeknight made i would love for him to do the skinning.

    It's really a point of personal preference, many people think that this version of the zergling doesn't fit into the original starcraft theme at all and prefer the version that looks similar to the one ingame the original starcraft. I personally think that my version of the zergling came out well, it just needs alittle animation tweaking.

    On another note, that skinmap needs some help. Only half of it has any reference lines on it - it's impossible to tell where a lot of the polys are.

    the skin is the majority of the sweetness in this model, when it was released it had an o-k skin, but with the hyper geek remix, it's friggin awsome! and yes, some animation tweaks are needed... i'll talk to hudsonsee if he could whip up some help for me learning to animate...

    so do i. I did mesh the body but i need an unwrap tool otherwise im going to have to make groups for the left, back, and front sides of EVERY part of him.     Skinmeshing is a right pain in the bum though. It's slow, it's fiddly, and it's boring. Unless someone <i>really</i> wants the model bad, I don't think you'll get many volunteers.

    I never did a skinmesh from scratch, just realigned my lowpolygonizred models to the existing texture.
