ahhh, the epic end scene i suppose. i will play my last part here. i think i wasted myself and deserve to sit out the rest of this Role Playing Thread. i will come in, and do my last dance, and then leave the stage for the last time. when the timing is right of course.

*shouts abuse at the onos (in a rather bad scottish accent)*

"Ahhh, ya big lump of haggis ye. ye coud'nae hur' a fly. look at ye. your breath stinks, your teeth need brushin'. Jus' bring it. i'll stuff ye and use ye for ma bagpipes"

(*sits down, lays lmg across knees and lights pipe*

"i remember, when i was a wee laddie, we use to go hunting deer. i would tackle big'uns, bigger than this one with just ma swiss army knife. how times have changed"

The other marines come and sit round him, all sharing stories of the good old days. the lerk and onos wonder whats going on, so they come closer. the marines shift up to make a gap for the unlikely new comers, and the comm drops a fire and some marshmallows for toasting. afterwards, they all sing campfire songs, each in his own language. they finish up with a duet of kum-by-yah with the onos and j2pc. everybody applauds and shouts encore. everybody joins in the next time, and the singing goes on into the early hours of the morning. when everyone gets tired, the onos lies down and all the marines rest against the giant hot water bottle. they awaken refreshed the next morning and the standoff continues...)

Its becouse rpgs dont work as well on forums, they work better in chat, in a forum there is too long between gm coments, it should be player says this, gm says what hapens, player says how he reacts, gm says how well the reaction works

Frosty and boogle, if you don't think it'll work, it's fine. But will you please just LEAVE if that's the case? You're messing up the story, stay serious or get out of here!!!!

From the hiveroom, the rest of the aliens start attacking behind the onos. A horrifying scream erupts from the beasts, and the rest of the alien horde replies back, the noise reaching unbearable levels as they all charge you.

hehe. and now my final part. its bin fun everyone. its up to xect if this part even comes in. sorry about theh rouge stuff xect. i hope i play better next time this comes along. if it isn't, make a post so i replace this text with a "ERROR: REMOVED"

*out of the shadows, i charge out, running as fast as i can towards the onos*
*rams into it, using all of the energy my Power Assisted Armor can muster, to ram the onos into the wall and away from the marines*
"SHOOT THE SMALLER ONES! NOW!"
*onos recovers from shock, and then with a hard flick of this horns, gores me against the wall*
*gasping, breathing weak, and bleeding from the mouth, the onos removes its horn and i slide down the wall, leaving a smude of blood*
"F*ck...youuuuuu...."
*pulls out pistol, starts to empty clip*
*after 6 rounds...my grip weakens, the pistol clatters to the ground, and my hand does as well*
*vision blurrs to darkness as i lie there, proped against the wall, dying*

* begins firing, aming specificly for the lerks, 6 shots, uses a speed load ring to quickly reload, and repeats, Magnum slugs embeding themselves deap int alien flesh*
*after seeing Terrans heroic charge, fills with a rage agaisnt the onos, takes carfull aim at the beastes eye, and fires, mising barly to the left, unleashes the remaing slugs at the beasts head as i walk slowly toward it laser like focus, reloads with last speed ring, and continues barages, hoping shear number and luck will result in the all important wearign down of the best. begins reloading one at a time and firing continuing my slow aproach toward my inevitable doom* 

If you want this to work, after this battle is over and one side or another dies, remake an rpg, with the falowing rules
1. each player posts what they want there char to do, not what he does do.
2. Each player may post only once between GM post, only exeption is if another player does something that would efect them directly (give bob my weapon) in which the other player may make a valid reply on what he atempts to do (uses leet doging skill to try to duck and roll under the incoming leep)
3. During each GM post he says the efects and sucsess of the actions the players say they wanted to do
4. In your first post you include an ooc character bio and discription of intersting abilities/items.
this one set itself up more like a peacemeal story, and thats how the people posted

I see a single marines come running in HA and ram the beast, so i reload and take out a few skulks running around. About this time im runnig out of ammo in my gun, and look for a backup*

I'm afraid i must, unfortunately, bow out of this thread. I've not got enough free time for the next fortnight, and what i'm doing in the daytime is draining all my energy in the nighttime. So basically i'm unable to keep up with everyone else. Sorry everyone, i throw my grizzly demise to the mercy of the court. Do with my character what you will.

Frosty, we just need people to understand that they play only their own character. And that they are supposed to REACT to the story, not create it. When I read trough teh last 10 posts, all of the marine posts are like

"I attack the aliens"

"I pull my pistol to shoot at the aliens"

"I aim my deagle at the onos and fire"

Try actually roleplaying. Try to give hell in your habits. Remember that we don't care if you shoot at the aliens. Throw away your usual NS mentality of fighting, give your character a heart, and try to imagine what he can do, not to shoot, but to talk to people, respond to them, get some real, social, action going. And stakhanov, I, and ONLY I, decide when that onos redeems.

Actually, people, I'm sorry, but roles on both sides of the conflict doesnt work. This is messed up, what do you people think of a total restart? What about getting a moderator to clear this thread, and start over with a new plot and a fresh attempt at creating something that works?
