I'm packing a SC pack now but i started thinking just now... Is it a smart idea? I mean.. I've collaected ALL the SC models out for NS now but when 1.1 comes out they will be unusuable.. So what i'm asking a question to you guys in the community... Do you want me to keep collecting models/sounds/sprites and keep it or should i stop doing that untill 1.1 is released?

Pardon me for mentioning the following, as you've very likely already heard this:
Make sure you get the permission of the people who did each model/skin/sprite/sound/etc.

I've also got the same question as Nem. What would keep them from working? Lack of animations for new things?

Quick hint time: For god's sake, ask everyones permission and include the credits / readmes. No one wants to see a repeat of the "handbags at ten paces" we saw with the "Aliens Pack"

Exactly! They will work but there will be missing anims, hitboxes and such.

I allready have the Proper credits =)

Credits and Permission are a whole different thing. Just because u stick someones name in a pack doesn't mean they wanted you to. Anyways.. all my stuff is up for grabs (the whole 1 thing that was released.. the egg.. lol)

yey thank you Enforcer, at least SOME people don't sidestep the issue. I loathe when people say "I gave credit" but never respond to if they asked PERMISSION in the first place....

i think he means, will amins have to be made for like the onos will have that eating a marine thing, so thats gunna hve to be put into say the ultralisk and so forth!

But i give full permission for u to use meh C-20 moddification plus i will ask Espwilly for ya. thats if u want it?

i agree, you need to get permission, and not just give credits...

i'm a little tired of seeing people use some sprites i made, without permission (only to find that my name is in the readme for "hosting some content").... Get permission.

That's why I never released the rather nifty phase gate I converted from someone's Q3 jump pad. Sometimes you've just got to accept you can't do things.

How about u list EVERYTHING in your pack, then people can seee what uve got and say whether or not they'll let u have it in the pack.

btw the c-20 modification is canceled until i finish my exams! dont want me failing my exams cuz of a model : /

Zergling is done. Enf0rcer's Zergling model is not.

But there is a good Zergling model out there, and I'm using it atm.
There's also SC player hud, and ofcourse the Terran marines.

for those that haven't been around, there are "WWW" images on some people, these are their websites.... (like mine and silent murder, Souris, Hyper geek, and a few others...) some of ours host custom models...

yea when the mutalisk and overlord hive is finished i think we can do an alien side release pack for sc.
i can sort out all the sounds and convert from sc to ns. its easy

Check the Official Model Release Thread for all the sprites and crap. I made a sprite for the marinenode.spr (right-click menu) and a pack of random sc things (Console img, shell menu, titles.txt changed to fit StarCraft)

Here is everything that I can think of:
