<div class="IPBDescription">it needs one</div> A guy who lives in aus is now currently in the works of making a HUGE mod for freelancer. I talk with him alot and he so far has only 2% done in the last 2 weeks and hes been working his **** off on it.
Things happening in the mod are as listed
New variety of weapons, all ranges of levels. including tonnes more lvl 10 weapons so noone has the exact same weapons. including more sheild killing weapons other than the tizonas.
New ships, he is currently looking for people willing to model some ships whic h ppl have drawn out .
new guns sprites. he is also currently looking for sprit artists to help in this section
More missions, more locations. more ship wrecks. but dont be fooled. these ship wrecks he has clearly noted will be HARD to get to, you may have to fight your way to them, battle through the suns corona to them, or even spend 5 days looking for them. they most likely will not be shown on the map
trades will possibly be changed. be warned, this means you wont get money fast, atm the plans are to make the prices rise and lower depending on how much they have in stock. (ie. they only have 200 in stock, selling items to there would cost $1000. the items you sell to them lower the price of the stock, so give them 1000, the price will be 200 after)
There will be things to make it harder to do trades etc.
also planning is colonies or gangs etc. maybe being able to have an own colony to war other colonies. your base can be a battle ship which you can only get by the amount you have in your colony. to put resources in your ship you have to try make trades with allied planets or systems.
note these are mostly ideas, the new ships, weapons and ship wrecks are in the making, the colonies part he is still figuring out. lets hope it all turns out well

I don't have Freelancer, but from what I've heard of it, this sound like a pretty nice mod. I guess it would add some more variety into the game, although, from playing the demo, it still sounds like the game needs some more different types of freelance missions. I don't think a mod could do this, though.
I havent slept in two days (literally, not a single second of sleep) and read it wrong. I just re-read it.
