<div class="IPBDescription">is he still around?</div> Hey, anyone know where Jeff Paris is?
His last post here was 30th December 2002. Just wanted to know if he still comes here or not.
Plus, he promised the second part of six days in Sanjii would be out in the coming weeks. i am aware that Jeff is certainly are a very busy man, but it appears he has dissapeared of the face of the earth. <!--emo&:(--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/sad.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='sad.gif'><!--endemo-->

    Actually, sometime about a month or two ago, I managed to get a reply on this from a mod. He said that the 2nd part is coming when the time is right, or something like that. Someone made a comment that it'll probably follow 1.1, I have to admit that doesnt sound too far off.

    oh thats great.
    The reason is, i'm thinking of creating something very special. look at the pic below and see if you have any ideas. <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->
    I can explain as to why i used the "wolf" but you have to guess what i may do first.

    i believe that you are planning to make a new ns map yes? and the wolf is chosen because of the myth that the blue wolf and fallow doe (or what ever the fack) in Mongolian myth gave birth to Ghengis Khan, so the wolf is like uber special in their eyes. are u making another ns map?

    well you almost had it.

    i did a little research and typed in "genghis"
    the results came back as the infamous "genghis khan" a mongolian Conqueror. Now this was very interesting, as the story mentions the mongolians quite frequently. I had discovered the mass detail that Jeff Paris has put into making this story so authentic.

    So off i went to find something that symbolises the mongolians.

    <!--QuoteBegin--></span><table border='0' align='center' width='95%' cellpadding='3' cellspacing='1'><tr><td><b>QUOTE</b> </td></tr><tr><td id='QUOTE'><!--QuoteEBegin-->
    "The wolf is the legendary ancestor of all Mongols, and is a symbol of what qualities they possessed: an inclination towards the regions of the North, Dark and Cold, as well as limitless endurance, great intelligence, intuition and perspicacity."<!--QuoteEnd--></td></tr></table><span class='postcolor'><!--QuoteEEnd-->

    ns_sanjii anyone? <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->

    Jeff was never as regular a poster as some other devs. I assume he'll show up again when he feels like it.

    from the story, ns_sanjii sounds evil! the marines apparently start out a pretty long way from the cc, so...EVIL! who ever makes ns_sanjii is teh devil!
    ...
    i had to get that out of my system...thanks

    the most i can make from the story so far would be the ready room (the access tunnel)
    the command center (marine start)
    a few corridors leading away from it,
    and of course, the bloody huge vent. <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->

    Is it possible to use the particle system to make the marines breath all steamy? because the mine is as cold as hell. <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->

    it is possible. in firearms, on certain cold maps, your soldiers and enemies breath is visible. its a cool little effect, but me thinks it needs to be programmed into the game, like itself. sigh, its not gonna be that great though. no more sneaking around because your cocaine white breath gives your position away to the skulk.

    I've made a number of threads wondering aloud where the heck Jeff went, and I *think* I've sent him an e-mail about six days of sanji two, and I'm all for ns_sanji..
