Cant Join Any Servers

<div class="IPBDescription">Ahhh Help Meh</div> when i try join a server. it says my connection has been accepted, the server notice comes up, but the game doesnt start. Iv tryed using game spy, adding a server by using the halflife server selection thing, which is built in, and i have also used connect (IP) in the console. when i add the ip to the cosole i get that little black box with the timer in. but the timer runs out and i get an error saying i cant get in. I dont have a firewall and im on 512 DSL. Any1 Help Me Plz?
