Who are the best clans/players in this game, I've only been playing for a few weeks and I was wondering who the top players are so that maybe I can learn a thing or two from them.

My top list:

Marine - Jim
Alien - Magitek
Commander - FW
Gorge - The Spectre

I'd put Sandrock, Mr.Clean and a few others in there but they are more all-round, these are the ones I consider best at the more specific level.

Oh, and this has nothing to do with CAL or anything and does not have a bearing on anything either, it's just the reg's on the server I play on <img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'>

those internet ranking sites just shows how much you play. I was really looking for serious responses perhaps from others peers. Like who are the best players in competitive play ?

I have found Csports.net to be fairly accurate when it comes to rankings.

However it's good to think exponentionally. For example. The Top10 players will be fairly accurate. But players ranked 10000-10010 will vary every 3 seconds.

So just bear in mind, while it does provide accurate info on top ranked players, the players further down in the list aren't ranked correctly.

Doesn't that csports site rank on frags? IMO, frags is the wrong way to rank people in NS.

NS players should be ranked on - survivability, overall sense of strategy, team player, how well they follow orders, etc. Not necessarily frags only.

And thus, it's impossible to rank any NS player accurately.

Rambo players may get superb scores, but they don't work well as a team. Yet how can Csports.net obtain 'team work' points?

Possibly by having a rating of 1-100 of every round of how well you stayed close to a team member.... hmmmmmmmmzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

You are correct in that we cant ever accuractly have a NS player rating system. A web site can't track team work. Other players can. Thats why when someone asks me who is good, I tell them based on what I've seen of those criteria, I dont refer them to a website.

In Western Australia, the best are pretty much anyone in |DoW| or anyone with a =WA= tag at the end of their name (which means they got picked for the state team).

|DoW|BEE is one of the best skulks I've seen, but as I said most of them kick serious buttock. Quick Ben used to be very good, but he's a little rusty as of late.

CSports doesn't give you an accurate representation of anything with regards to NS.

The only way to find the "best" players are to play the game to death. You're bound to play with some great players.
