    Good post, and I agree.

    1.04 = a game of hives

    2.0 = a game of resources

    the 1.04 hive lockdown is not invincible, though. In the first minutes of the game, before the open hive is relocated to, marines are very suceptable to a rush and annihilation without IPs. But thats just another reason why the 2 hive lockdown is so lame, even a perfect skulk rush results in a game 2 minutes long - incredibly boring. The other possibility is a hive lockdown and then a game of level 3 weapons ripping through tier 1 lifeforms for 5 hours while the marines tech up. Also not fun.

    So in conclusion 2 hive lockdowns are very lame, and I'm happy that 2.0 is addressing this problem by making resources the focal point instead of hives.
