<div class="IPBDescription">assault rifle replacement</div> Im finishing up the mesh of a replacement for the assault rifle. NOT futurisitc, just a gun made in the late 90s (i think.) Heres a pic:

nice model the holo sight should be well holo and the other sight looks a bit flat needs to be rounded more

Um, why is it just one extruded shape? If i'm not mistaken, scopes are round, and so is the foregrip and the pistol grip.

Dont worry, the scope will be cirular and formed when its done. Remember i said 75% <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/wink.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wink.gif'><!--endemo--> Jack handey; why do you say PISTOL grip when this is an assault rifle...w.e its also not ONE shape its around five. One for the trigger, one for each section of the gun (divided by the line that kinda runs through) and one for each part of the scope. THx for the comments and criticsms.

He called it a pistol grip because that indeed is what it's called. Sub-machine guns, assault rifles, doesn't matter what type of weapon it is, that type of handgrip and trigger is called a pistol grip. Think of it like a tradition, sort of how commanding officers are always referred to as "Sir", regardless of gender.

Not my sorta thing, but I'll bet it'll look cool when it's finished.

I think the but and the actual body of the gun could use some more detail... it just looks flat. Otherwise, very good. Like the scope. Also take out the lines in the ammo clip, that should be skinned on to save poly count.

i think that if you added some of those ventilation vents int he gun's barrel area in the submitted reference pics, it would greatly increase the model's "badass" factor.

yeah, take the polies out from the clip lines and make the ventilation holes in the barrel. That would pwn even more than this model is already pwning.

The scope and barrel should only have like 8 - 12 sides. Looks like they are 18+ on your picture.

Yea i think im gonna remake scope and TRY to make cuts in barrel (didnt work last time) and that should reduce poly count considerablly. Thx for the advice.
