Any one who knows me will know that i whip out that knife and finish off the skulk i was blasting.

If its a Lerk - I reload

If its a Fade - i jump with knife

If its an Onos - i dont waste the bullets in the first place, i run at it with knife

I didn't want to wade through the topic to see if it had been hijacked, so here's my answer:

I DON'T RUN OUT <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo--> . Actually, I try not to empty my lmg before I quickswitch to pistol, knowing that I may have to quickswitch back and having 13 extra bullets in the lmg has saved my life hundreds of times. I do the same with pistol, leave 3-4 bullets in there, just in case. It may not make sense, but when you're paying attention to your clip, you're not pulling a "spray-and-pray." In the off chance that I DO run out, I try to reload, unless I have an HMG and a welder, in which case I weld until I (usually) die. HMG takes too long to reload in a quick fight.

1. Empty 1/2 to 2/3 of primary ammunition clip.
2. Switch to pistol, shoot all 10 rounds.
If it hasn't ended by this point, the skulk player usually assumes my LMG clip was partly empty when all of this first started, and thus I'm out of ammo. He expects to see a knife come out, so he assumes he's already won and plays more recklessly.
3. Bring out LMG for another surprize.
4. Bring out knife, and open up "boxcutter style" like FireWater.

Switch to pistol, empty it. If the alien is far enough away, I wait for the reload on the lmg. If they're up close n personal, out comes the knife. If it's an Onos, I run like hell, screaming wildly.

i take out the knife. <b>always</b>.

its a far deadlier weapon than it seems, seriously. it's why i hold many server records for the most knife kills...

Mostly knife, although it hardly ever works. If my team is having a hard time I'll probaly reload.
