Gorge Bile Bomb Possibilities

<div class="IPBDescription">Retake Great Viaduct fast!</div> I was thinking about the bile bomb rework, and how it only affects structures. At first, I was a bit bummed, but then I thought how useful it would be in taking back hives fortified by marines: build a Sensory and some Offense Chambers around the corner. Pop around and toss Bile Bombs at those turrets and phase gates.. Very nice. It could also be useful for taking out fortified res points held by marine turrets and electrified res nodes.

Now if only the OCs' new accuracy and rate of fire is enough to stop JPers now that web is relegated to the third hive...

    I'm worried about that too.

I think they made Jump Jets longer/harder to research to and made it more expensive to pass out.

But then again all it takes- is a pair of JPers with HMGs. (They really should make HMGs do less damage against structures. Leaving the GLer to do all the dirty work. Effectively forcing the marine team to work together and provide cover for the GLer).

I think they are making jps cost more to research because they'll be the offical counter to onos.

From what I saw of the updated tech tree posted, you're not gonna have to worry about jetpacks that early.

The greatly reduced cost/time it takes to put up a hive, coupled with the increased time it takes to get a proto lab, means that if you don't have a second hive before JP/HMG you are already losing badly.

Also, JP need to be touching the ground in order to recharge. (<b>Note from Flayra:</b> This is not true.)

Well then just recharge in that high up ledge that would take a skulk a minute to get to.

I don't see any problems there.

bilebomb requires 2 hives btw. And gorges cost like 20 now and suck like 1 rp per every 1-2 seconds from nodes. Exposing them to the front lines like that when they could be suckling a node isn't a very cost effective decision imo. Also hives aren't really that important anymore....so clearing a hive isn't as important as it used to be.

Isn't it weird with a bilebomb spitting gorge?
Maybe it looks good ingame, I just got the image of old fade bilebomb,,

You mean the fact that bilebombs are larger than a gorges mouth ?
