errrm... I don't see how an attack harming metallic buildings could not harm metallic mines... it's a 2nd hive ability , to be used to siege bases and clear defenses... mines are mostly defensive weapons. If the bile bomb doesn't set off mines , then something is wrong.
It may have been suggested before... but why not make it damage the marine armor too ? This would force HA's to keep welding each other and pause the attack when a battle gorge shoots bile bombs at them.

This is related to bilebomb , well , now as Fade sometimes it's hard to use bilebomb because in small places it just blows in front of me and makes me damage . bilebombs are being shot straight, they don't fall like they did before. so you kinda have to jump and shoot down, or shoot a wall, or aim directly at a building. and they are moving slooooow... weird <!--emo&???--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/confused.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='confused.gif'><!--endemo-->
I believe it was the intention to make it so that aliens couldn't set off mines with any abilities, but it sounds like BB are messed up.
Personally I think that it would make sense that BBs are the only thing that can take out mines, but I wouldn't think that would be balanced personally (or the other way around, depending on your perspective).
