still 6v6?
I wonder if it will still be 6v6?And will it be 6v6 in CPL or WCG if NS is one of the games playing in these events... What is your opinion? Thanks for your answers...

It seems to me as if most scrims are based on the traditional 6vs6, however, as the resource model scales much better this time, bigger matches should remain balanced.
Thats a good question. I personally would love a little bigger of a standard match size, and with the new res model..it sounds possible. 10vs10 or even just 8v8 would be great. I am a huge fan of the bigger battles with NS.
Old habits die hard. I think some clueless guy just pulled that number out of his posterior. Later it turned out that economy isnt so borked in 6v6 as it is in 12v12 - but really, since when did economy decide who won a clan game? No I think that clan games are still seen as a 6v6 deal, out of old bad habit rather than anything else.
I thinking making it viable for 6-9 would be perfect. I mean... the more the merrier , plus you get to see more diversity in the alien team.

Yeah at the moment it is 6 v 6 due to old habits. Back when i was vet i believe there was talk that it might possibly change in cal, and if cal changes its minimum then everyone will conform to that.
It started out as 6v6 cause servers couldn't handle ns so well then. 6v6 was also more balanced I suppose. Also it's easier to get 6 guys together then 10.
As of now I imagine 10v10 would still be pretty imbalanced in 1.1.
another factor is still servers cant run a 22 person server unless its totally dedicated (this is hopefully changing in 1.1) tuhs server providers are still pricing NS server much higher than other mods and even a 16 player server will run you an even $100, so there is that to take into effect. plus by my opinion, 6 vs 6 is just dandy not too big not too small, just right
6v6 isn't quite perfect. But it works pretty well.
I'm pretty sure CAL at least already allows 7v7 or 8v8 games, but only if both teams agree. I suspect that, if enough players show up, it will be more common now that the res system is more balanced.

It is best to have the smallest teamsize with the game still being intresting. 6v6 seems to be that perfect number.

Although, I wouldn't be surprised if any number of players was viable.
Thanks anyways...
