<div class="IPBDescription">Can you unwield, destory it</div>I've probably missed this somewhere (and if so sorry) but if an engineer wields a door shut can he un-wield it?
Can the other marine classes blow it open?
Can the Aliens destory it (maybe just fatty)?
If the aliens can destroy it:
What kind of time frame does it take (ie bob ~ x secs)
Can the Aliens destroy the whole door making it un-wieldable for the duration?
From what I've seen it doesn't look like vents can be wielded correct?
I'm pretty sure I saw something that one of the aliens classes can build a webbing to block access. Is it correct to assume that this could be done almost anywhere i.e not needing a door as an anchor so an alien could fill a hallway? Can the marines destory the webbing?
thxs.
Best idea I've seen for FPS since levels not having to be flat. Nice job can't wait to play it

A weld is only one-way (right now). Either a marine welds something open, or welds it shut. He can't do both. A mapper decides what can be done to something. And once it is done, no marine can break it open. But your good guessing is correct, an alien level 2 can break a weld, and only him. The time needed to kill it depends on how much "health" the mapper gives a weld. I have never really tried myself, so I do not know.
As of right now, once a weld is broken, it can not be re-welded. AS I said, a mapper choses what can be welded, so a vent may or may not be weldable.
A level 2 can put webbing across areas, yup. It slows down marines and disables their weapons momentarily. It can be destroyed with a welder right now.
Just a BIG note, Flayra is hoping to totally redo how the weldables work, so this may all change soon!
Thanks
Well with an issue as vital as thing, I forgive you. I would hate to see this come into play. A marine spawn ground welds off all access points except one, and surrounds all of them with turrets. That would be bad.
But, but, but... what happened to this guy <!--emo&:tiny:--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tiny.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':tiny:'><!--endemo--> being able to break down welds?
<!--emo&:0--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wow.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':0'><!--endemo--> damn, i was using mostly weldables instead of breakables, cause i thought that they could be broken by anyone.

If you need more, just ask. <!--emo&;)--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=';)'><!--endemo-->
First off, the level 2 being the only one able to break welds is, as far as I know, more along the way of a bug than a feature. That's the main thing that I was referencing that would change.
Something Flayra has mentioned in here is a desire to expand the welding abilities to cover more than just func_weldables. Whether he'll manage to get that code in in time is unknown.
There are no 'major' gameplay changes, or anything of that sort. Just a few tweaks necessary, and some previously planned improvement that is hoped, but not entirely guaranteed. However, most of those changes would completely change nearly everything that Comprox said, which is why I said it was very subject to change.
sorry if this is repetitious and/or annoying...
As for your question, I'll let a tester answer that...
(Though I hate posting about a subject I'm not entirely sure of, which is the case now)
[Off-Topic]It's neither wrong or bad of you to have that avatar Version135b, but I think I speak for the most of us when I say it's confusing when you have the same avatar as Flayra. If you find another one you like I wouldn't mind if you changed. <!--emo&;)--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=';)'><!--endemo-->
I suggest removing Flayra's avatar from the list.
ill do it right away.
Must... not... correct spelling...

And to be honest, I think I'll be playing <!--emo&:bob:--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/bob.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':bob:'><!--endemo--> more than <!--emo&:tiny:--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tiny.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':tiny:'><!--endemo--> . I like wallcrawling, and leaping from ceilings and things like that. <!--emo&:)--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'><!--endemo-->
'wat?" "hmmmmmm *door hits him* ouchies" "TINY ARRRG" "i liek sausages" ... ya rightttt
but ... honestly.. how about chewing up doors, then spitting shrapnel!
sounds pretty snazzy eh?
exactly!
So yes, the blinker can blink through a welded door.
