<div class="IPBDescription">Sorta...</div> Well, i'll get to the point straight off. I need a texture. more specifically, i need a sort of curved hall_toplight. Can somone make it for me? What i mean is, i have 2 corridors:

-----|

well, sorta like that, and where the corridor turns i want the hall_toplight texture to curve in a nice arc around to meet the next straight part.
Thanks in advance for any help

Edit: I hope carbon takes it up, hes pretty good at this sort of thing <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->

    Well, i'm really not getting the whole picture (too sleepy...), but you can do a whole bunch of things in mapping, that will produce simillar, if not better, effects with just architecture... You can apply your normal light to all the faces \_/ and tweak the texture (rotate, scale...)

    Dunno if this helps, but you can try...

    I"m not sure what you meant, but here is a more accurate representation of waht i wanted. SAy you have a hall right, with the texture hall_toplight in the middle of the ceiling. A bit away, it turns right, and after the turn yuo have the hall_toplight continuing on. I wanted a texture, sorta of like a pipe bend, that i could put between the 2 to make it look better, ratehr than 2 straight bits. It dosen't mater now, unless you want to be really helpful <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo--> <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->

    Maybe you should make a sample picture or take screenshot of the map where the texture is supposed to be.

    hmm, i was thinking of that, will this do? <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->

    Don't you have some stolen copy of Photoshop or PhotoPAINT? Or maybe GIMP? You can make your own texture faster than anyone can reply on this thread <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->
    Just TRY it! This is not a difficult texture... except it will be round <!--emo&???--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/confused.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='confused.gif'><!--endemo-->
    And remember when you are posting: Half of the world is sleeping while it is mid-day at your location! Wait 24h... if noone sends you a texture till then you might have to make your own.

    one thing you can do is make your brushes look like this:

    <!--c1--></span><table border='0' align='center' width='95%' cellpadding='3' cellspacing='1'><tr><td><b>CODE</b> </td></tr><tr><td id='CODE'><!--ec1-->
    ___
    __/ |
       | |

    <!--c2--></td></tr></table><span class='postcolor'><!--ec2-->

    do u see? The texture will follow the effect and give what u are looking for.

    it'll avoid u making a new texture for nothing

    As Evil Bob said, just "merge" the two "columns" and clip them diagonal... The texture will follow...

    And anyway, this method is better for compiling proccess, as the compile tools tend to compile triangles better and faster...

    alright, i need a new texture this time. Or a way to make it. I don't have photshop, eitehr. I want a glass_bright with {alienalpha2 on it, like infestation. Or a way to merge them so teh glass is still seethrough except for the infestation parts. Is there any way? Or do i jsut need to put it over it in form of brushes in-game?

    You'll need to use two entities, one for each render type--additive or texture rendermode glass won't mix with solid rendermode infestation on the same texture, and using solid rendermode is the only way I can think of to keep the infestation from being at least partially seethrough.

    EDIT: grammar/readability
