<div class="IPBDescription">Auto-reload?</div> I didn't see this in the changes list - PLEASE TAKE THE WEAPON AUTORELOAD AWAY, or at least make it possible to instantly change weapon during the reloading animation. I'm sure everything knows about this - in 1.04:
1. You empty your LMG clip. The autoreload starts
2. Since you've probably also played some other games, you might (like me) almost automatically hit the next weapon button
3. The former causes you - not to instantly change to the pistol - but to wait for the autoweapon animation to finish and THEN
change to the pistol
4. If you haven't died at this point yet, you empty the pistol at your target(s) and manage to kill it - whew!
5. Another skulk runs through the doorway - you quickly change back to LMG and - click click! Even though you wasted several
seconds watching the reload animation finish, dodging skulks, the game DIDN'T RELOAD THE LMG.
6. You die.
I just fail to see the logic of this. (And, off topic, I really don't understand [among other things] why the hell did they implement autoreload into Day of Defeat 1.0 either)
Anyway, the rest of the change list looked quite fine and interesting, though, and I'm sure to be waiting for 1.1 as eagerly as the rest of you. <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->

Weapon fastswitch allows you to change weapon at any point during the reload animation. The behaviour is fine you just need to work on your config.
I don't have problem changing my weapon even if reloading but it wouldn't harm either to have autoreload taken away.
Don't know, depends if Nem Z locks it or not...
That's what I've done, it's bound as "slot2." I use it to switch to pistol quickly, and as a skulk I can quickly parasite a marine and then attack him without fumbling around too much.
What kind of frolicking did you have in mind ?

If you missed it, my suggestions is to simply bind "drop weapon" to a key, *I prefere the "c" key* and u drop weapon when u run out of ammo, and it switched to pistol quicker than if u switched normally! It's loads of fun!
as standard with almost all halflife mods, Q comes bound to "Flashback Weapon"
as soon as you spawn, press 2 (whip out ya pistol). then press Q, and u back to LMG. you go off and pick a fight.. and because of your terrible aim, you miss with most of the lmg clip. !!! IT STARTS RELOADING!!! so you press Q. BAM! out comes the pistol, along with the cs h4x and w00hap. 1 dead skulky (assuming you havn't left this empty aswell? <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->)

I know there is a way to make these sequence of button presses automatic. I just don't know how to do that.
Anyway, if you knew how to do these things, you could easily have your lmg drop and pistol loaded at the press of a button as well.

practice. It's easy, and IMHO those who <i>need</i> scripts to do these things shouldn't be playing online games at all. Trouble is people are lazy, the vast majority of people don't NEED such scripts.

(you turn through a hallway, see a Fade @ the other end, all of a sudden he's right in front of you and before you can scream "Sernity Now!" you have be cut in two like a peice of fresh toast from the bakers oven)
