Are you one of those "hackers"?
Anyway, i've only played the online demo. I don't think you can slice people up in quite as many parts there as in the real game. sad...

Anyone ever try the game multiplayer? The knife is the best weapon. It's kinda silly, really.
Some maps are wide open, like a paintball field, and some are cramped office buildings. There's a decent amount of variety, too. I like it.
Bear in mind, I LIKE the game. But I played the Hong Kong level last night for about fifteen minutes before turning the game off in disgust.
1) On consultant, you get 3 saves per level (I know you can adjust this in the custom level, but I didn't). So: DON'T REPLAY THE ############# INTRO EVERY TIME THE LEVEL BEGINS, BECAUSE THEN I HAVE TO BURN ONE OF THOSE IMMEDIATELY JUST SO I DON'T HAVE TO SIT THROUGH IT EACH TIME I DIE.
2)Nice arsenal suggestions. An automatic shotgun, a grenade launcher, and a mini-uzi. It made sense if the level was on a boat, but as it turns out, much of it (so far) is wide open. I found myself using a crappy pistol that I swiped off a corpse most of the time. I want my Damn colt!
3)Sure. I can understand the enemy spamming me with grenades (which, in this game, are extremely DEADLY). But I'd prefer if the enemy didn't also have X-RAY ####### VISION as well. Right at the beginning, you can climb down a ladder on the dock, onto a lower level, where there's a big health waiting. Super. Only problem is, several enemies gather above, and lob grenades down with impossible accuracy. If you're near the ladder-hatch, they drop 'em down there. If creep out towards the water, they toss them over the edge, right next to where you are. Seeing as how the smll hatch is the only window for a person standing above, I'm interested to know how they could possibly track your movement.
Venting over. Some of my problems may be my own Damn fault, but at 10 A.M., I'm not scouring the manual for tricks and what not . . .
Edit: Whoops. The censor missed a really bad swear that I put in there. #s added . . .

Monkey, about the cutscenes... I'm pretty sure the one at the beginning of the HK maps (on the boat) is not an in-line cutscene (i.e. it doesn't happen from the player's perspective and may be letterboxed). Thus, you should be able to hit the "use" key (whatever you have it set to) in order to skip the cutscene. This works with most cinematics.

For me, again, the grenades coupled with the enemy omiscience is just way too much. Like in the jungle level-- walking alongside a very tall, unclimbable ridge, with a deadly drop immediately on your right, the enemies on the opposite side of the ridge just start lobbing grenades with insane accuracy. I don't know how many times I've been far from a save point, but moving forward conifidently with full armor and full health, when some unseen thug banks a grenade off three walls and into my lap . . . game over.
