Overwatch?

For anyone that joined late, before 1.0 overwatch was where an afk player would "auto-aim" to some degree, but it was taken out in playtests because it was too hard to make it not over powered but not under powered and got shoved to the bottom of the priority list. I was just wondering if there are any plans to put it in 1.1 or a following version, or if it was totally scrapped.

    Seems dodgy BUT if a commander set the AFK guy on overwatch and AS SOON as the afker moved his mouse or touched ANYKEY it would come out of it, it sound cool now <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->
    oh oh and a 45 degree arc of fire only

    hmmm sounds interesting... i think that since an AFK player has neglected his duties then he shouldn't be auto aware of some enemies.... it might get spammed if it would allow u to know where a cloaked Kharra was.... maybe some1 could clairify

    AFAIK it's not been ruled out from making a return at some point but i don't think you'll see it in 1.1.

    TBH I doubt you'll see it at all but thats just my personal reading of the situation.

    Darkfrost, the commander didn't 'set' it. A marine simply went into overwatch if he/she didn't input any commands for a certain period of time. The idea was people could stop to type in a message in teamchat without getting penalized for it.

    I included the commander, so that the balance wasnt harmed, skulks using team chat would go on total auto pilot? or just fire parasites? thats why i said, becasue it seemed apparent skulks couldnt benefit.

    It's not a question of "balance", its a question of whether the dev's put it back on the list of things to do or not.

    Some people are waaaaaaaaaaaaaay more useful when they dont :/

    Tbh, I dont think we'll see that in 1.1. If it has been removed, there was a reason and I doubt Flayra would try that again. But its definitely a personnal opinion
