<div class="IPBDescription">You worst experiences with builders</div> The other day I was playing ns_eclipse on a 24 person server. Our hive was eclipse and we had already had to slay 2 noobs who had gone gorge. We only had 1 rt up by the time one marine executed the gorge becuase the team was too ignorant to guard him. <!--emo&:angry:--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/mad.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='mad.gif'><!--endemo-->
Well after that happened some idiot decided to go gorge for 15 seconds and put up a <b>sensory chamber</b>, when WE HAD 1 HIVE. As a result we couldn't effectively guard any of our structures or choke points. Fortunately, by some act of sheer dumb luck the likes of which God had, and never shall see again, we managed to get a second hive built and surrounded by o chambers. But that is when it gets worse... <!--emo&:angry:--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/mad.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='mad.gif'><!--endemo-->
Our new gorge forgot that we did not have d chambers, so the aliens were stuck with sensory and movement chambers with 2 hives and the third under lockdown.
Our fades broke down crying when they realized they were stuck in a HA HMG/Grenade battle without regeneration or carapace. Everybody who says something different doesnt know the game.
As for the sensory chamber first strategy, it isn't my favorite building plan, but thats only my opinion. I would much more prefer to get the regen adreniline combo for the fade, then have stealthy skulks. Stealth skulks are great for a killing marine rez nodes, however our present situation would not of allowed for such a strategy. And thats because the marines already had 4 defended nodes. I have to admit they had an excellent COMM.
Also, i wasnt a comm but in ns_nancy near the red room in that vent he decided to build a tf to seige in the vent and they sank too, ended up trying it 2 times +1 turrent, all those res.. then the 3 unlucky marines including me were a main course for 5 skulks

and then there was that one guy, hes probably banned by now from most all servers, who repeatedly joined random servers, took com, and proceded to recycle the whole base building com chairs instead, whilst chanting "the KKK is getting bigger, so grab a stick and beat the n-----" im sure somone else here has run into this jerk...

When after a min of talking to him I got him to stop. Ten minutes later he at it again. I ask him why. He replies "Wha, you never, wait. O ya I forgot man I'm sorry" That repeated a couple more times.
For example if you gotten defense for the first hive and somehow marine shoot them down. But your team have no other defense chambers around, so then you can build a different upgrade chamber.
Since destoryed upgrade chambers no longer has a lingering effect on the alien player, wouldn't it make sense to clear the upgrade icon?
On some servers they have a plugin where you can recycle your buildings, but they still wont allow the alien team to choose another alternative after recycling the last of the upgrade chambers. If we could rechoose our upgrades after they are recycled, I think it would make the gorge play somewhat newbie safe.

Not the greatest of Gorge experiences as you can see. :-\
Also my worst experience as a gorge is basicly any time I gorge and someone else is yelling at me for doing so. Has anyone here realised that having multiple gorges can be an effective strategy? Its grat to have somone building 0 towers and whatnot while another is saving for the next hive..... It ticks me off
I find that most mariens dont pay very close attention to quiet sounds like that...but i dont see why cloaking would make a sound like that anyway???..hmm..i hope they just get rid of the sound in 1.1
Because other than the actual sensory chamber, it is hard to tell the alien has cloaking. Even after getting slaughtered blindly, it takes quite some time for an average marine to figure out that the aliens are cloaking (that is if there are no sound of cloak).

i thoguth it affected both, i knew i cloaked faster with more sens tho but i thought it affected cloak level too
