Healing On Completion

In 1.04 (and probably any 1.0x) when you are shooting a structure that is being built and it is completed before you destroy it, it forgets that it was damaged and goes back to having full hit points. I don't know if this is intended or accidental, but I hate it with all my being. Has anyone seen anything about this being changed in 1.1?

It's been addressed. I remember reading a post by a playtester mentioning that building OCs against turret farms isn't too effective now, since the chambers have almost been shot to death by the turrets by the time they complete.

Err... you sure about that? Maybe it was only changed in an earlier beta? I distinctly remember someone posting about offensive OCs.

IIRC, all buildings are now at full health when dropped and nothing is healed when they build.

The potential for 10000 hits CCs raining down on resnodes, aliens and chokepoints is obvious.

They take forever to build and can be killed much easier in the building state. But I'm pretty sure they revert to full health when they finish building.

Another possible way to do it (for BOTH teams) would be such that when something is dropped (like an OC or a turret), it starts at 10% health and 10% build completion. As the item is built, it gains both % health and % completed status at the same rate til it reaches 100%. In the same way, if it gets attacked, that amount would go down. During this time, the little green bar would be perhaps a different color (to indicate it is being built) but would indicate total health and build %. For this to work, it would probably be necessary to make the items health during the building process to be linearly correlated to the amount of time it takes to build. Then, once it is built, its regular health would be changed to whatever is default for that specific item.

I thought they were going to restrict the CC in some way, either by only allowing it to be built in certain spaces or soemthing else.. <!--emo&???--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/confused.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='confused.gif'><!--endemo-->
