plz let me be a playtester i am nice and have patience so any body being stupid or taking all ammo i can wait for more like in tfc i know ur gana say no but just think about it ok?i have been mature askiung questions i htought people needed to know (or just me )and haven sword or lost my temper once

    yeah, NS will run in software mode, but WHY your using software mode is another question entirely... unless your on a laptop its understandable... otherwise.. O_O.

    This is silly because they ask you not the other way around. Asking for it is a SURE way not to get it. Playtesting is not always that fun either, its more 'testing' than 'playing'.

    Nukem... it's nice of you to ask, but i don't think there is much chance of you being a playtester. Not that you are not nice or mature enough, but there are really much people wanting to be PT, that are a -bit- more active than you are, and a bit more involved. But, you can always hope...

    But i help hoping you'll become a playtester... TIP: Threaten Flayra that you will get him drunk and let him delete all his NS software...

    You will be able to play in Software mode, as well as D3D and OpenGL, when NS releases.

    Flayra has earlier said he would like NS to be able to be runned in software mode.

    They pick out playtester based upon people they think give much useful feedback and good mappers that will benefit from playtesting. If you're right about you being patient I'm sure you won't mind waiting some more until NS comes out like the rest of us.     nukem107, it's not that you're a bad person or not active that makes you an unlikely canditate for playtesting. It's that there's so many other people who are more involved, and I figure they won't take up any more playtesters besides the mappers that send in maps before the deadline, since they have so many from before.

    And don't you worry, you'll be playing beta 1 along with everyone else before you know it, when it's released to the public.

    Not to make this any further off topic, but one thing was not mentioned which is an absolute requirement for playtesters:

    <b>Good communication skills.</b>

    This means spelling, and grammar, and cogent ideas, and being easily understandable. If you are incapable of these things, you will not be playtester.

    Just like we wouldn't get someone who only speaks French - we don't have time to waste on translating your writing into something we can understand.

    You can get all the software u need like Worldcraft (the editer) from

    For tuturials i found <a href="http://www.planethalflife.com/wavelength/levels/tutorials/index.html" target="_blank">this site</a> useful. The latter ones concern sp more, but the first 6, or so, are invaluble.
