    (Take care doing movies on your cam. Dunno about yours, but my pop's camera goes thru bateries very quickly when doing vids)

    Very nice indeed! You got great colours from that camera. The castle was magnificent, and it looked like you picked some great spots around Europe.
    I had a couple questions/observations on some pics:

    <!--QuoteBegin--></span><table border='0' align='center' width='95%' cellpadding='3' cellspacing='1'><tr><td><b>QUOTE</b> </td></tr><tr><td id='QUOTE'><!--QuoteEBegin-->Trudging up 'Auld Reekie', into the Keep...
    *pic*<!--QuoteEnd--></td></tr></table><span class='postcolor'><!--QuoteEEnd-->
    That pic really reminds me of the version of Hamlet I had to watch back in highschool with Mel Gibson, I wonder if they filmed it there

    <!--QuoteBegin--></span><table border='0' align='center' width='95%' cellpadding='3' cellspacing='1'><tr><td><b>QUOTE</b> </td></tr><tr><td id='QUOTE'><!--QuoteEBegin-->Nice porch!
    *pic*<!--QuoteEnd--></td></tr></table><span class='postcolor'><!--QuoteEEnd-->
    This totally looks like a restaurant that Cheech and Chong ate at when they went to Amsterdam, can't remember which movie that was (Still Smoking maybe)

    <!--QuoteBegin--></span><table border='0' align='center' width='95%' cellpadding='3' cellspacing='1'><tr><td><b>QUOTE</b> </td></tr><tr><td id='QUOTE'><!--QuoteEBegin-->The British prepare their mothership for launching. Um, WTH?
    *pic*<!--QuoteEnd--></td></tr></table><span class='postcolor'><!--QuoteEEnd-->
    What in gods name is that giant egg?

    <!--QuoteBegin--></span><table border='0' align='center' width='95%' cellpadding='3' cellspacing='1'><tr><td><b>QUOTE</b> </td></tr><tr><td id='QUOTE'><!--QuoteEBegin-->Talk about being stuck on crappy duty. This poor bloke just went back and forth, back and forth. We passed by a couple times over a few hours. Back and forth, back and forth. Weren't even any cute girls around; he must have ticked off the Sgt. of the Guard and got stuck on alley duty...
    *pic*<!--QuoteEnd--></td></tr></table><span class='postcolor'><!--QuoteEEnd-->
    Is it just me, or is that guy packing some serious heat? I thought those big hat guards carried old one-shot rifles. Any of you gun nerds identify that thing?

    So congrats and all that, looked like an incredible trip. There should've been a pic at the airport with the boobie lotion getting searched though.

    Please pass my condolances on to the beautiful bride. <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/wink.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wink.gif'><!--endemo-->

    Thanks! To your questions:

    1. According to one <a href='http://www.photogold.co.uk/filmlocations.html' target='_blank'>website</a>, Hamlet was filled in Castle Blackness and Castle Dunnotar.
    2. I have no idea.
    3. It is the <a href='http://www.skyscraperpage.com/cities/?buildingID=3623' target='_blank'>30 St Mary Axe</a> building.
    4. He is carrying an L85 Rifle, which is standard with the British Army. The Queen's guards are the Scot's Guards, a real fighting regiment with its barracks just down the street. When you drive by you'll notice it is packed with armored fighting vehicles, ready to defend the queen. The Guards are the real deal, with loaded rifles. Just because they stand at attention all day and don't smile at tourists doesn't mean they aren't ready to snuff scumbags. <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->

    And I truly wish I had been able to get pics of the airport fiasco...

    MonsE... wow. You really went overboard. Looks absolutely stunning. Living in England and having visited all around Scotland and so on, how the hell did you find such beautiful places <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->

    And for anyone wondering, the "Mothership" is the new London council offices if i remember correctly. But it does look like an Earth Escape Pod ™.

    Hahaha, I remember that beefeater (I went over there over christmas) We didnt have him, but some other jolly old fellow. Quite the characters those beefeaters <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo--> I assume you saw the family jewels (not <i>those</i> family jewels, the queens!... wait <!--emo&:(--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/sad.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='sad.gif'><!--endemo--> ;p ) But yeah, I saw them and my jaw dropped, they were insane, not to mention the security doors.

    Hope you had fun <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->

    Edit: I also remember seeing that big egg thing (from the ASE aka the ferris wheel of ultra-high madness) and asked me dad, its a buisness block or somesuch, not even a art gallery or something. For shame, for shame...

    Nice. One thing that Europe does to great is building. They just have so much unique history. The US never really developed an aristocracy, so our old buildings are just that- crappy old buildings- not elegant and grandiose ones. My area (Philadelphia) has a big chunk of colonial history (I'd say its 50-50 with Boston) and those buildings are just crappy old buildings.

    Thanks again everyone. Lisa had fun reading your responses (espe. Duff - I think you have a shot with her after the statistically inevitable divorce. If she doesn't choose the poolboy <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo--> ).

    And I agree - it was extra wonderful for an American to wander around the same streets as my exiled relatives did, 400 years ago, and have them be mostly unchanged...

    The honeymoon and wedding and such cost about $15,000.

    That doesn't include the engagement and wedding bands... :|

    All kidding aside, very nice picturse, Monse. I woulda loved to see that castle, it looks great, and so do the grounds. Many congrats on your new marriage.

    Hmmm... Our airline tickets totaled around $2000. Then the hotel rooms ranged from $250-$600 night, depending (all were 5 star, which really jacks the price fast). Incidental costs like taxis and food and stuff... hmmm... call it about $7-8000 for just the trip parts? Approx...
