Obligatory hallway shot

I remember talking with Ken20Banks about how his hallways look great, and how I hate doing them.

Anyways, I'm getting to the point where I can't avoid the hallway work anymore. So here it is...

(BTW, yes, I <i>am <b>trying</b></i> to map quickly and save the detail for later. I just ... can't ... stop myself!! )

    I swear PS isn't saving my gamma correction when I save for web!

    It is a bit brighter in-game, and lighting it all going to be temporary/basic from here on out. I'll tweak it later.

    The hallway looks awesome KT. <!--emo&:)--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'><!--endemo--> I love the orange light you've got coming from the lights there... especially if it were brighter like ingame. The pipe adds a lot to the scene.

    My only gripe would be the actual light fixtures... they're so bright because of the env_gamma. Perhaps you could take that texture, and dim it down real low in PS or something.

    Other than that it looks wonderful! <!--emo&:)--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'><!--endemo-->

    that looks awesome KT, i got one suggestion... instead of having them the hallway bars just go down in a / have it like this...

    O_/

    That would make it look more purdy, in my opinion. <!--emo&:)--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'><!--endemo-->

    Yeah, that's what it was. I was going to suggest the same exact thing, Cyanide... but my mind went blank. <!--emo&:)--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'><!--endemo-->

    (Do it KT! Do it! <!--emo&:D--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':D'><!--endemo--> )

    If the r_speeds will allow for it, it'd make it look even cooler. More variation in the slanted supports that is. Maybe not with the pure verticle part on the lower area, and maybe even on every other one... but it'd still be really cool.

    This is only a short service corridor. It turns the corner and meets up with the Obligatory Diagonal Lift™.

    I don't know if I'll do a lot more of this corridor style. From the bottom of the lift you go through the pumping station and into Hive #2. So once you get below, the only "corridor" is a short stint along the waterway.

    I like your ideas about more detail. The hallway is fairly basic right now, and I could see adding more to it.   ...still, I'm afraid I've labeled this area: Good until June 28th.

    ...come to think of it, anything else I'll be posting in here will pretty much be in that state. I just don't have time to work the feedback loop here.  :|

    Anyways, thanks still for your comments! They are not forgotten.
