    Here is a quote from the Natural-Selection FAQ (frequently asked questions):
    <!--QuoteBegin--></span><table border='0' align='center' width='95%' cellpadding='3' cellspacing='1'><tr><td><b>QUOTE</b> </td></tr><tr><td id='QUOTE'><!--QuoteEBegin--><b>Every time I try to connect to a NS server, it tells me that I can't because I have to install the custom game. What's wrong?</b>
    This is a common problem, and is due to a last-minute bug sneaking into the installer. The desktop icon that the installer creates doesn't have the working directory set properly. Just delete the desktop icon and run NS from the Start menu instead.<!--QuoteEnd--></td></tr></table><span class='postcolor'><!--QuoteEEnd-->

    or, you could go to the properties box from the icon (right click).
    And then, in the box that says "Start In" type

    C:\Sierra\Half-life

    or whatever your HL directory is

    Or go to your start menu.

    Start > Programs > Natural Selection > Launch Natural Selection

    You musnt do anything of this, just start HL and when you try to connect to a NS server, HL automatically activates NS (at least so it works for me).

    No, he should do what they suggested. Having HL switch automatically will work but it causes troubles later when you try to have options in the command line. Just fix the working directory.

    (though I was lazy at first and just let HL switch it for me.)
