Mic Not Working

My mic works fine in windows/teamspeck and everything else outside half-life and not in Half-Life.

My system is:

Windows XP Pro
Soundblaster Live 5.1
P4 1.6 Ghz
40 Gb HD
384 Mb RAM

think thats all that could possible affect it.

    Try using the half-life voice tweak utility...it is located in the half-life directory and is called something like "voice_tweak.exe"

    It will allow you to set levels and check functionality. Also check your sound card control panel and make sure that it is recording from only the microphone input and not "what u hear" or something else.

    I'v done all the before, but it sounds muffled and quiet in game. It also seems that since I upgraded my card its quiet at full volume.
