<div class="IPBDescription">what is your solution ?</div> I would like to know what do you do when your mouse begins to stick. Do you have any tricks to keep it clean? Because it is just annoying when it is sticky.
The underside? Clean the little teflon pads with some Qtip or something, eventually a bit of water if you're careful. If it's where you put the hand, use some cotton or tissue thing. If it's the mouse ball do what he said (optical)
I suppose if it doesn't glide as well, you can clean the teflon things, buy a fUnc and buy those things called mouse skates. I've heard good about those little peices of.. huh things.

To put a finer point on all the posts of 'just clean it', here's a rough idea of how:
Clean off the small 'feet' on the underside with a damp cloth; you don't need to use any cleaning solution, really, just warm water. Then, on the circular cover around the mouse ball itself, turn it with your fingers (following the arrows - it's usually counter-clockwise), being careful to hold onto the rubber ball when it pops out. Inside you will see three rollers - use a ballpoint pen's tip to scrap away at the gook in there, until all three rollers are clean. Put the ball back in and reattach the cover, turning it so it locks back in place.
Total time spent: 2 minutes. Total cost: 0. There you go, another year of mouse operation. Although getting an optical is much better <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo--> .

If you can, find a Logitech iFeel model. The drivers are still available for them, they fit left or right hands, and they have force feedback! Okay, it vibrates a bit over a hotspot. But still...
InfinityX, he was showing you a better trackball, not trying to find yours. I think.
O yeah I see now <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->
I can't see how you can play without a ball in the centre, I've found the thumb controlled one's impossible to use accurately.

Meh, I've got a Logitech iFeel myself. What do you do when the little teflon slide-pads get unstuck from their mountings and fall off? :b Thouigh I do keep an old PS2 ball-mouse around in case the optical ever fails. Unfortunately, keeping both of them plugged in and on the same desk seems to have become a problem, given that all the old male/female mice jokes are true. I've now had my mousing space invaded by three additional mice, and have to push them off to the side if I want to get any work done.
(Oh.. and for anyone who doesn't 'get it', an extra hint. How can you tell which type of mice are male, and which are female?)
Do they not do one in silver? My extra buttons are both on the left and I can't reach one of them <!--emo&:(--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/sad.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='sad.gif'><!--endemo-->
